Surrendering!

Surrendering!  No seriously, surrendering!

When I hear this word, in  my mind, i picture a image of a person with their hands raised and knees to the ground and nothing but the clothes on their back!
Is this person me? Is this person you?
Could it be?
Should it be?
Surrendering All!
Yes, it should be! I have really been convicted lately from a book I have been reading and it's really been making me think about the four words that i have found myself saying or speaking about lately, "by the worlds standards"
1 John 2:15-17 NKJV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world -the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not of the Father but is of the world.17And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will If God abides forever.

So, are we giving our all to Him?
Yes,  we all have different gifts and God has different plans for each of our lives, but they are all gifts and plans for Him and His purpose, NOT for ... ME ME ME! We live in a world that is all about "ME"!
Oh, don't get me wrong, this is directed towards me,as well as, anyone that may read this blog! I only hope that I may start to look around at others and surrender to His word, that I may love others with a Godly Love and to See others thru His Eyes! I want to surrender to His purpose!
Weather we are rich or poor, young or old, married or not, with children or not, there is no excuse! If you are a child of the one true King, you are to surrender to His Will and not to the worlds standards!
The Great Commission
Matthew 28:19-20
19.Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20. teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
Mark 16:15-16
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.16. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

So, two things here that are on my heart lately, "go to all the nations"! We are to share His word and His love, John 13:34-35, A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another 35. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. We have to realize that this means YOU! Yes, YOU (My disciples, Jesus says here) you are to surrender to this scripture, to His word to His standards and seek out all that are lost! From the friend that sets next to you every Sunday on your same favorite pew you set at, all the way, to the villages deep of Africa, wherever, God may call you! You are here to surrender to His ways and not of the "worlds" ways!
Second, Are we TEACHING?
mean really teaching! We hear this word and we instantly think "by the worlds standards" of just a Sunday morning class room!
Sundays should just be our "charger" for our batteries, that we may Run Our Lights for the lost thru the following week, that we may teach others each day how to love, to know His love, and to surrender their All to HIM, that we all, may surrender to our true purpose!
Teaching is not something Jesus intended for us to keep locked up in a classroom. Teaching is loving and encouraging others. This means to ALL NATIONS! Teaching means to your coworker, teach them about His Love and leading them to Salvation thru Christ Jesus. Teaching means to encourage our bothers and sisters in Christ to continue on the mission we are sent here for!
To love the Father and To love one another!
1 John 3:16
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Think about this for a moment, PAUSE................... Its Really Not About "ME"!!! or about How "I" feel, or how I look or what I drive or how much I have-Do we remember the story of the rich young ruler? Matt19:16-22!
Matthew 6:19
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

So, am I surrendering my all? Am I just listening on Sundays and just thinking " by the worlds standards I'm a good person, God will be pleased"?
But have you dug deeper in His word, not another good book or blog or article (granted I love to read), but lets Read His Word!! Lets find out how He wants us to live our lives according to the scripture, live our lives for Him, for the lost, for others and not just for "ME"!

I challenge you, as well as, myself to dig deeper in His word, I know from experience you will grow a hunger to learn more and more and more about our Lord! I know I still have sooo much to learn and will continue to learn, but I hope that you become uncomfortable in that same favorite Sunday morning pew and you get up and truly surrender to follow HIM and not the comforts of this world! Matthew 16:24-27 says....
24.Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27. For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and He will reward each according to his works.

James 1:22-25
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.23. For is anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24. for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Why you might ask that we surrender to Him and Him alone?!
Ephesians 2:8-9  8.For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9. not of works, lest anyone should boast.

1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Romans 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service

You see it's not about "ME" , It's about surrendering to the one that saved me that I am now a disciple of His that I may go out to all nations, teaching and showing the love to the lost so He may save them, that they to, may surrender and go out to all nations, teaching and loving for Him!

Okay sooo I had a bad nite!! I'm learning just because I feel better doesn't mean I can continue to talk or chew!! And then I had a bad morning so we made it to preachen then I came home made it my bed and slept until 3 pm!!! Then I think to my self " Katie you have to get up go outside ride ur bike quiet feeling sorry for urself !! So okay my goal is to ride the back field without stoping in hills haha!!! So on my way back I decide to follow the horse trails cause I'm doing pretty good , so O theres a tree limb missed that but O no my ARM did not!!! First battle scar from the mtb!

Yes that's mountain biking!!
So you see iv been stuck in this house for five months occasionally trying to work but I feel like I have walked around in a fog! I love to read and love to knit and crochet and look at Pinterest but it don't take long for me to be concentrating on these things to go right into a spasm in my face, I guess I clench my teeth more than I should. So, God blessed me with a camper in the past month so I'm excited to go with my girls and make new memories and enjoy the nature that God has provided for us to enjoy! To see His beautiful work!!
Yes I decided we would all get mtn bikes and find good family friendly trails and just enjoy some family time together!!
So I'm training cause I haven't road a bike since I was 13 yrs old and my thinking is maybe get me outside in God sunshine and able to handle stress better and relax! So minus the tree limb I really am enjoy the time I get to ride. Still learning, I also am having the fun experience of teaching my youngest to ride without training wheels so we can all cycle together this summerlr!

So on this wonderful Mother's Day of sunshine my sweet family had given me  a new mtn bike and a new  purple biking bag ready for the trails!!

I'm very thankful for my mother and mother-n-law on this Sunday and I love all the gifts and the hand made cards but something that really hit me early this morning was Yes I am a mother! And this is very important roll! I want to give my girls gifts.  Gifts of growing them up knowing, serving, seeking, obeying The Lord !! That's my Job!! God has placed these two young ladies in my care to raise them up for Him!!

Strength

Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (II Corinthians 12:8-10 NKJV)

I feel I have become weak in one, but shall have strength another....kp

Thru the rain!

As I returned to work today, I had a lady there stop and share with me that the other night she woke from her sleep and just had a burden on her heart for me. She felt the need to pray right there and then for me to be able to get some sleep.  Now, I don't know what night that was but I have been able to sleep all night without a facial spasm for seven days now( first time in 15 weeks!). As I see the sincerity in her eyes and her voice I grab her and hug her with tears flowing!
I cry not just out of the true thankfulness of the prayer and sleep that I now have, but my heart leaped at knowing this sister listened to that still small voice, she felt the spirit move her for prayer and she acted upon it. She sacrificed just alittle time of Her sleep to obey God and pray for me!

You know thru this trial I find it can be easy to get weary and worn, but each day my spirit has grown stronger due to seeing the love from others, seeing How God has used and spoken thru others that love Him.
This may be one trial that sure has been a long one, but each day I'm witnessing a blessing, a closeness to Him. Each day He has allowed me to see Him or hear Him in some way.

I thank Him for all the people who have prayed for me, may they be blessed, for those that have taken time from their own lives to drive me, prepare food for me to be able to eat and just to encourage me!

Thoughtout this day it seems the tears flow very easy just thinking how blessed I have been thru this trial!

It's like seeing the beauty of the flower thru the rain!

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. (Psalms 91:4 NKJV)

Don't be afraid to stand there and cry, sister!

I am proud and moved deeply to know a child of God that is so mightily filled with the spirit that the tears flood, uncontrollable ! Sisters, do not be shy or ashamed to cry when serving, speaking of or being spoken to about our Lord and His works.  Tears for Him is not a sign of weakness but of passion, love, concern for the lost, a Pureness, humbling, rejoicing and weeping!

In pastimes, I would not speak much to others concerning Him, just due to my lack of ability to control the overflowing of tears and emotion! "How would I ever truly serve Him", I would wonder!
But overtime I have found He gives me strength when needed and loves each tear that falls!

So CRY sisters, let them tears flood, but do not ever be ashamed of that passion for the Love of our Christ Jesus!

I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. (Psalms 9:1, 2 NKJV)
